This poor little guy arrived Saturday evening in very poor condition. He was abandoned at a neighbor’s yard sale by a homeless lady. The kitten was extremely malnourished and dehydrated. One of his eyes has never formed properly and he will be blind in that eye. It looked like I treated the other eye and it received medical treatment in just the nick of time and will be saved. It has an ulcer right now that is being treated but it should recover soon. Just in 48 hours he has made an amazing amount of progress. He has gone from a lifeless little kitten that was cold and on death’s door to an alert, warm, happy little kitten that can stand and eat on his own and tonight just started playing with a mouse toy. He has already had expensive medical costs due to the severe medical attention he required and several follow up visits for monitoring his condition are scheduled. I think he is going to make an amazing addition to someone’s home if they can overlook his missing eye. We are still working on a special name for this courageous little one. He is approximately five weeks old and is a beautiful white and gray long haired male kitten. Can you believe the progress?
