Drabek

My history at Meows Without Moms

I haven’t officially been named yet. My Laura calls me Itty Bitty Micro Kitty. I just opened my eyes and don’t exactly walk around yet. As soon as my personality develops, I will be given a suitable name. I was found on a doorstep in the neighborhood not far from Meows Without Moms. The homeowner took me over to have me properly cared for. We don’t know what happened to my feline mom or why she left me. I love my bottles and my nice warm heating pad bed. I like to be talked to and purr when my belly is rubbed. Thanks for looking at me.

I now have a name. I am Drabek!!

Little Drabek is still on his bottle and glad there are new arrivals
close to his age. Now he will have friends to play with once they are a
little more mobile. He likes to try to keep up with the big guys.

*UPDATE*

Drabek passed away 6-10-03.

Charlie was in the nursery for a week when he passed away on Sunday, but Drabek immediately latched onto him. They were inseparable and even though I knew Charlie was not well, you could not physically keep Drabek away from him. On Sunday morning at 4 am when Charlie became very ill, it was little Drabek, or as I liked to call him, Itty Bitty Micro Kitty, that climbed out of the baby bed, crossed the house, came to me and woke me to tell me something was wrong with his friend. The silent kitten even let out a nice loud meow. I ran to Charlie and started work with Drabek sitting beside me watching intensely. When I left to go to the vet, it was Drabek that jumped into the kitten carrier to go along too. And, once at Briarcliff Animal Clinic, Drabek had a little fit at the front counter when they tried to take Charlie back to work on him and leave Drabek behind. Amazed, they took Drabek also. Unless you saw it, you could not explain it. I can tell you I knew on Sunday that my healthy happy kitten would probably leave me. They would be a pair God would have to adopt together. And, He did. Drabek died yesterday. He and his best buddy are now back to playing chase and climbing towers and enjoying the best cat meals available. Some kittens you just can't separate. I am happy that they are happy and thankful, once again, that they were loved.

The 2 pictures to the left were taken when my Laura was sick and of course before I went to Heaven. Her mommy and daddy came to check on her. I was so excited to see Grandmom Meow that I had to sit in her lap.

The pictures were found this morning 6-28-03 and I had to share them with you.
